Top 5 Los Angeles Margaritas

Enough with National Hashtag days! Actually, we love food (and drink) so we're pretty much on board with most of these days. So naturally, with #NationalTequilaDay upon us, your pals at MDM are here to help you celebrate the day in the tastiest way possible.

1. GRACIAS MADRE

Where: 8905 Melrose Ave, WEHO
What: the Purista - tequila reposado, agave, lime, orange bitters, and a sweet, orange salt rim.
MDM Pro Tip: Make a reservation for brunch and take a leisurely lunch out on this beautiful patio. And for $1 extra, turn up the heat and ask for it spicy.

2. LUCY'S EL ADOBE

Where: 5536 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles
What: Pitchers of margaritas
MDM Pro Tip: Lucy's was established in 1964 and has seen the likes of The Eagles, Hubert Humphrey, Ronald Reagan, Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, John Belushi, Diana Keaton, Phil Collins- I mean the list goes on and on. I was first introduced to the legendary Mexican spot from my parents. They would rave about the pitchers of margaritas and the good times spent there. So our tip - get the pitcher(s) and bring your friends. And don't judge Lucy's from the outside, because frankly it looks like a dive compared to some of the other spots in our list. But that's the wonderful thing about LA - nothing is ever what it looks like.

MDM Pro Tip: Venture outside of the margarita norms and, if you haven't already, try your first michelada. They're ESPECIALLY good here!
