The Definitive Guide to French Fries - Los Angeles Edition

It's #NationalFrenchFryDay, and being the foodies we are at MDM, we wouldn't let a national holiday, as important as this one, slip through the cracks. So here you have the definitive guide to french fries in Los Angeles aka a compilation of everyone in the office's favorite places to get their fry on.

CHEGO

Where: 727 N. Broadway, Los Angeles (Chinatown)
What: Ooey Gooey Fries - beer battered fries with sour cream sambal, Monterey Jack and cheddar cheese, cotija cheese, cilantro, and pickled garlic.
MDM Pro Tip: Chego is located in the Far East Plaza in Chinatown and seating is all outdoors. This means you can mix and match from different food vendors. We recommend going with a large group and trying Chego, Pok Pok Phat Thai, and Howlin' Ray's all at once!

L'ASSIETTE

Where: 7166 Melrose Ave, West Hollywood
What: The "frites" are hand cut from the finest Kennebec potatoes and prepared through an 8 step, 24 hour process. These guys are not kidding around. Then they are cooked into either beef tallow to perfection.
MDM Pro Tip: "L'Assiette" means "the dish" in French, and L'Assiette only has one main dish - Steak Frites. So you better believe the fries are made to perfection. While it is the priciest option on our list, it is worth the splurge.

IN N OUT

Where: Luckily, living in Los Angeles it's a safe bet you're pretty close to an In N Out at all times.
What: Animal Style Fries - special sauce, grilled onions, and cheese.
MDM Pro Tip: Want your fries just a little bit crispier? Ask for them "light well done." Want your fries a lot crispier? Ask for them "well done."
