Back-to-School Shopping: Not Just for Kids

You don't have to be in school to do a little back to school shopping...

As summer starts coming to an end, our popsicles begin to melt away, and our swimsuits respectfully go back to their drawers awaiting their resurrection in a year's time. (Okay, I know I'm being dramatic - it's LA after all. Our swimsuits are a staple year round.) During school you could at least look forward to back to school shopping. The tactful decision of selecting ballpoint or gel, the thrill of smelling the fresh, unwritten pages of a new notebook, and the most important decision of all: what lunchbox is going to make you the coolest kid on the playground? In case you didn't know, you can still go back to school shopping even if you're well into adulthood. So without further adieu, here's our fall "back to school" shopping list. Happy shopping kiddos! Ahem, I mean adults...

Day Planner:

If you're anything like me, you've got 5 different meetings per week and a to-do list that runs as long as the Great Wall of China. So a planner is a must. My boss brought in this planner to work the other day, and I nearly drooled on the spot. Complete with daily, weekly, and monthly calendar, plus uber cool stickers to make you feel like a kid again, this planner made my inner Virgo sing with Joy.

Desk accessories:

PS the iPhone case may not count as an "official" desk accessory, but it's always on my desk so...

Pens:

I may be the only one, but my favorite part of back to school shopping was meticulously choosing my pens and pencils for the school year. But after I went to Muji, I literally had no reason to ever go with anything else. Just get them. Trust me. It will be the best pen you've ever written with.
