St. Patrick's Day is just a few days away. This means that there is a 99% chance that someone will come around wanting to pinch you if you aren't wearing green. 

But... if you are what you eat... then you can beat the system! Skip the green beer and choose a superior green - avocados. Our favorite way to consume this super healthy food? On toast and with an egg on top.

Here are our favorite Los Angeles spots that have this green hero on their menus. 

Sqirl

Where: 720 N Virgil Ave (East Hollywood)
What: Hot pickled carrots, green garlic creme fraiche, wood sorrel, house za'atar, JJ's avocados
MDM Pro Tip: Get there early to avoid the line. Late night? Call in and order your food to go to simply pick it up.

LA Chaper at the Ace Hotel

Where: 930 S Broadway (DTLA) 
What: 7 grain toast, aleppo peppers, avocado
MDM Pro Tip: Take the elevator to get Upstairs, the Ace rooftop bar/lounge, and enjoy the DTLA view while eating.

Where: 826 E 3rd St (Arts District)
What: Pickled onions, radishes, spinach, avocado
MDM Pro Tip: Cold brew + avocado toast = match made in heaven. As always, put an egg on it.

What: Red chili pepper flakes, olive oil, avocado
MDM Pro Tip: Go here if you want to make a whole day out of it. Walk around Echo Park Lake. Eat that avo toast. Get some coffee at Blue Bottle.

Superba Food + Bread

Where: 1900 S Lincoln Blvd (Venice)
What: Pickled fresno peppers, radish sprouts, cilantro, avocado
MDM Pro Tip: Try anything bread related (especially the pastries). Superba prides itself on being equal parts bakery, cafe, and urban park. And they do live up to all 3.
